About the role:

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring foundation teacher to join our Lifeskills faculty based in Banbury. The Lifeskills team work to support learners who face barriers to education, including learners with special educational needs, asylum seekers and refugees.

You'll be teaching 16-19 learners a range of subjects at foundation level, including careers sessions, wellness and English and maths sessions.

This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning.

This is a permanent, full-time role, based at Banbury and Bicester college. Part-time roles could be available for the right candidate.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement.

Successful candidates will have experience in careers guidance, wellness, teaching GCSE English, and the ability to nurture and support young adults with a variety of needs.

Whilst previous teaching experience or qualification would be an advantage, it is not a requirement. As long as you have the industry experience and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.
