Fountain Head House School has a fantastic new opportunity for a full time pupil administrator. You will need to be committed, hardworking and enthusiastic individual to be able to provide a professional administrative support to our school.

Fountain Head House School is a new and growing Independent SEN day school based in Saltash in Cornwall. The school caters for pupils from 4 to 16 with a range of special educational needs. This position within the school has many different strands to your responsibilities. You will work closely with the Headteacher and SNECO to support their administrative needs.

Being able to work to deadlines and under pressure is key in being a successful pupil administrator. We are looking for a friendly and polite professional administrator that enjoys being well organised and has great communication skills. You will need to be able to multi task, be adaptable and prioritise your work load.

Main responsibilities: (please see job description for full details)

To ensure collection of attendance and maintain the registers every day.To keep schedules for key meetings such as EHCP meetings.To act as super-administrator for various software, including updating information regarding pupils and classes. To manage the scheduled events for qualifications, such as ASDAN and AQA, including dates for moderation and submission of documentationTo keep records of regular whole school events, such as parents' coffee mornings and other meetingsTo update the Pupils' Admissions Register under the supervision of the SENDCOTo contribute to the process of pupil admissions including Pupil Placement Plans and related meetingsTo provide administrative support e.g. photocopying, filing, emailing, completion of routine forms, Microsoft forms. This could be directly supporting the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and Assistant HeadteacherTo assist with communication between the school and parents (e.g. texts, emails, letters, etc.)To perform reception duties as required, such as receiving callers, children, parents, visitors and telephone enquiriesTo adhere to school procedures and ensure that staff receive messages (telephone, email, fax, face-to-face) promptly and accuratelyTo undertake training and professional development as relevant to the post, as agreed by the HeadteacherTo support the organisation of Parents' Coffee Mornings; Parents' Consultation Meetings; Prospective Parents' Visits; and any other special school events. To complete the Pupil Census under the supervision of senior leaders as requiredTo undertake minute taking duties when requiredWe are looking for a cheerful, and motivated person who has

· A minimum of English and Maths GCSE A-C (or equivalent)

· An administration qualification at level 2 or 3

· Excellent ICT skills and ability to effectively use Microsoft packages (outlook, excel, word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and other technology to support administrative duties

· Experience of working in a school environment

· The ability to prioritise efficiently and work to deadlines

· excellent organisational skills
