The Bulmershe School are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Performing Arts who has an interest in teaching Drama, Dance and/or Music to join us for the Summer Term. Our ideal candidate would have a music specialism and should be passionate about delivering the best possible performing arts curriculum to our students in order to raise their aspirations and attainment.

Performing Arts at The Bulmershe School is strong, with excellent Key Stage 3 provision and high performance at GCSE. As part of our Communication and Performing Arts Faculty, you will become part of team with genuine passion and vision, who are working together to provide students with exceptional experiences, from whole school productions to trips and professional workshops. The Bulmershe Communication and Performing Arts Faculty's mantra is "Changing Lives Through Shared Experiences." We believe that The Arts have the power to bond, shape and nourish us, no matter who we are, where we come from or what we believe. As a Faculty, we endeavour to provide our students with experiences and memories that will stay with them forever, as well as shape them on their learning journeys.

This role is flexible, and lessons will be moulded around your specialism for Key Stage 3, however those with a music specialism could also have the opportunity to teach at KS4 and 5. Experience in teaching at secondary level would be highly desirable and would be considered a valuable attribute. Due to the supportive culture at The Bulmershe School, this post is suitable for an Early Career Teacher or someone who is looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive and diverse Faculty.

Specific duties and responsibilitiesTeach Music, Dance and/or Drama at KS3. Depending on experience, opportunities to teach music at KS4 and KS5Support after school clubs and activities within the FacultyPlan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the needs of diverse learnersFoster a positive and inclusive learning environmentAssess student progress and provide constructive feedbackSupport and mentor students in their artistic developmentPromote performing arts, its importance, and the value that it brings across the schoolBe responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conductTreat students with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher's professional positionTake responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
