St Nicholas' School seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and well organised Science teacher, with a preference for Physics, who will contribute to a vibrant and successful department. You will be joining an established, supportive and successful department, within one of the top schools nationally. You will have a vision for further development of this area of learning in girls' education.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Science to pupils of all abilities across key stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach mathematics would be advantageous. There is an expectation that the post holder will also be a form tutor and will contribute to the wider life of the school, through clubs and extra-curricular activities.

The post holder will:

As an ECT at St Nicholas' School, in addition to receiving weekly mentoring from a subject mentor, a member of the senior leadership team will also support your development and well-being. You will attend our bespoke professional studies programme to develop your pedagogy and ensure you make rapid progress towards meeting all of the teaching standards. The above post provides an excellent opportunity to work in a high-quality environment and to become part of a highly motivated and visionary staff member. This is a part-time post (either 3 full days or 2.5 days) with potential for becoming a full-time position, and we welcome applications both the independent and state sectors.
