The EM Equities team is looking for an individual to conduct macro-fundamental equity analysis and develop relevant analytics to identify opportunities in EM equity markets with a specific focus on CEEMEA.
The group comprises 40+ professionals across the EMEA region across Trading, Structuring and Distribution functions and market makes EM Equities products ranging from cash equities to derivatives.
The role connects with our FICC EM and Macro client community to deliver a One GS approach to the EM asset class.
Candidate should have 5+ years of relevant work experience in Equity research, trading, or sales.Economist or Financial-orientated majors highly preferred.Superior written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work within a small group and manage multiple tasks.Top-down industry approach.Create market-wide earnings analysis to map to expectations in order to assess dislocations.Understand and articulate relative value versus other equity and fixed income asset classes.Monitor and provide timely updates of financial results and material industry/sector events.Leverage a network of local contacts.Liaise with sales team and respond to client feedback.Work closely with trading and trading strats to determine how the residual risk to the Firm can best be hedged. Work directly with traders to implement specific inventory (risk) position, indirectly managing the exposure in terms of entry levels, stops, and levels at which to exit trades recommended. Utilize the models and metrics developed to overlay on qualitative views on a range of Emerging Markets to develop actionable, analytically-sound, and balanced trade ideas.
