Please note this salary is based on a full year post, as such your actual salary is dependent on your start date and will need to be recalculated once all clearances are in place and a start date has been agreed. This role is not suitable for ECT's.

Shepwell Short Stay School is a progressive and vibrant learning community that focuses on raising the aspirations and potential of every pupil at the school. We have places in school for 90 learners, all who have an EHCP and work in a very bespoke manner to support our learners complex needs. We offer a GCSE pathway and have a very inclusive curriculum.

We need a forward thinking and innovative SENDCO to join our SEND team consisting of Director of SEND, Assistant SENDCO and HLTA administration. The role is varied and rewarding providing measurable and evident progress of young people which you will find to be incredibly satisfying. Pupils may have joined Shepwell with a traumatic perception of education and this is your opportunity to support them to realise that they will be listened to, heard, supported and believed in to reframe the perceptions they may hold. Staff report feeling incredibe value in their role and believe here at Shepwell school they are able to make a tangible difference to the lives of young people and their families (the ability to plan and deliver specific subjects to be noted on application forms please).
