Astute's Power team is partnering with a large power generation company to recruit an Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Technician to join their Energy from Waste plant in Boston, Lincolnshire.
The EC&I Technician role comes with a starting salary of 50,000 + bonus + benefits.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will:
Fault finding, installing and maintaining electrical systems, instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow and level) and control systems
Calibrations and loop checking of instruments relating to the sites DCS/control systems
Programming the sites DCS/PLC systems
Maintaining the continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS)
Assist in the development of plant modification and improvement work
Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS
Supervising and directing on site contractors when required
Ensuring strict HSE compliance at all times
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
A recognised EC&I engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / HNC
At least 4 years of experience working in the maintenance team in a heavy process environment such as a power station, refinery, chemical plant etc
Candidates with an instrumentation bias are preferred
Personal skills
The EC&I Technician role would suit someone who is:
Ability to work well alone or in a team
Is results focused and can deliver accurate results on time.
Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
