This is a rare opportunity for a Nature Recovery focussed Area Ranger to join us in a fixed term role at Hinton Ampner as we deliver an ambitious programme of nature recovery across our 600 hectare South Downs National Park Landscape.

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 15th May.

You'll report to our Countryside Manager, completing a team of five at Hinton Ampner all focussed on the delivery of our Reimagining a Hampshire Estate Project. You'll oversee nature, habitat and historic knowledge across the project area, includes habitat condition, wildflower meadow and hedgerow management planning and wildlife monitoring.

You'll link our communities and partner organisations to become more involved with our work, developing a programme of participation & engagement in our nature and climate outcomes; including leadership and support of our nature survey and historic environment monitoring volunteers. • evidence of land, access and conservation management, including delivery of projects and supervision of contractors.
  • experience of developing and delivering work programmes to meet conservation, access and project outcomes.
  • ability to communicate at various levels, including colleagues, volunteers and visitors.
  • strong leadership, effective organisation and prioritisation skills
  • practical skills, competencies and experience across a range of countryside disciplines, including a full UK driving licence.
  • good understanding of risk and compliance processes
