Job Description

The Head of Finance and Business Support will lead and develop the Business Support Team to provide high quality finance, HR and governance services and support to our staff, volunteers and Trustees. As such, you will have a strong financial background and experience of working in a multi-faceted role for a charity or not-for-profit organisation. We are committed to making the charity a great place to work, where employees and volunteers enjoy competitive terms and conditions, are supported to achieve a healthy work life balance and have opportunities to grow and thrive. Alongside the senior leadership team, you will develop and implement strategies and practices that reflect our values and promote stability and sustainability. Be committed to the charity's growth through volunteering opportunities and lifelong learning. Work alongside colleagues and Board to drive, influence, advise and support the cultural and people aspects of organisational change, design, workforce planning, people processes and business improvement initiatives. Support wider organisational objectives including digital transformation and progress towards net zero through your work.

Shape and develop the charity's Workforce Development Plan, having regard to the importance of effective recruitment, the promotion of wellbeing at work and opportunities for personal growth. Contribute to the development of an income generation plan that secures sustainable income to support our work, and which maintains our strategic goal of generating 60% of income from unrestricted and independent sources.
