St Catherine's Hospice in Preston are recruiting for an Apprentice Chef. The successful candidate will work their Level 2 Catering and Hospitality which will take approximately16 months to complete.

Duties:

  • You'll also experience great variety – covering the café, our events and the hospice.
  • You will assist the Senior Chefs on duty with storage, preparation and cooking of all food items and get a wide range of experience.
  • You'll take on a fulltime role in the kitchen under the supervision of passionate chefs alongside your training. Not only do you gain a Level 2 Production Chef Apprenticeship, you will be able to support the running of our kitchens and get the personal satisfaction of knowing your talent and skills are doing good in your local comm

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills
  • Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
  • Ability to work on your own or in teams
  • Willingness to learn

Grades:
There are no formal qualifications required.

Hours:
Working on a rota 5 days out of 7 (Earliest start = 7am/ latest 8pm)
