Concierge and Security Guard

Purpose of the role

Responsible for the safe and authorised entry and activity of personnel and vehicles onto the site whilst ensuring a professional and hospitable welcome and visitor experience.

Responsibilities

1. Monitor and control access to the construction site through the security gate.
2. Verify the identity of individuals entering the premises and ensure they have the necessary authorisation.
3. Maintain a log of all incoming and outgoing vehicles and personnel.
4. Conduct routine patrols of the construction site perimeter to identify and address any security concerns.
5. Respond promptly to any security incidents or emergencies, reporting them to the appropriate authorities and site management.
6. Enforce site safety regulations and report any violations to the designated personnel.
7. Collaborate with construction site staff to ensure seamless and secure operations.
8. Operate and monitor security equipment such as surveillance cameras and access control systems.
9. Provide excellent customer service to visitors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
10. Document and report any suspicious activities or incidents to the Facilities Manager

Person Specification

• Lives locally and able to drive.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Physically able to stand for long periods.
• Ability to multitask and seamlessly deal with multiple enquiries at once.
• Knowledge of health and safety in the work place environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of security procedures and protocols
• Familiarity with access control systems and security technology
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment.
• Computer skills for maintaining logs and reports.
• SIA Trained
