Job Description

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a P&L Reconciliations Analyst for a 12 Month contract based in Marylebone, London. Please note this will be a 50/50 hybrid working model.

Purpose of the Role:

As a P&L Reconciliations Analyst you will be a key part of the Collateral Management Group who processes the Net Present Value of the portfolio of trades between our client and its counterparties on a daily (or as specified) basis to ensure that this exposure is sufficiently collateralised.

You will be responsible for monitoring and supporting accounting, funding and nostro control functions across Collateral Management Operations to ensure they are effectively carried out within company procedures.

Responsibilities of the role:
Oversight of key controls within Collateral Fails Management including ensuring the client is performing review of aged breaks to ensure correct level of investigation and escalation.Acts as a point of escalation for junior staff within ISPL and other Collateral teams.Required to identify and support the implementation of process improvements.Delivers on projects to improve operational support to the business.Establish relationships with trading, Treasury, XVA, Market Risk, Legal, Back offices to resolve client queries.Reporting to Key Stakeholders on Collateral Pnl and accounting controls.
What we require from the candidate:
Understanding of Legal / Regulatory framework surrounding Collateral Management (OTC Activity).Knowledge of OTC products and front to back trade lifecycle.Knowledge of cash and securities settlement processes.Experience in Middle Office, Back office or similar CIB functions.Good stakeholder management skills.Strong Analytical skills.Strong risk awareness and good judgement for escalation purposes.Tenacity / Drive - Must be able to get to the 'bottom' of issues and challenge assumptions.Excellent written and oral English skills in order to articulate technical issues and to be able to take the complex and make simple to enable effective communication with the business.Computer literacy and a good understanding of relevant software.
