Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President of National HR Operations the National Recruitment Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Company's talent acquisition process and employment lifecycle activity. This role covers multiple regions/ offices across the United States. The National Recruitment Manager is responsible for maintenance and management of talent acquisition and operations (recruitment, employee lifecycle, retention, termination, volunteers & interns, and employment verification) programs, including the creation of new programs, changes to existing programs and the termination of programs, as appropriate.

Successful talent acquisition is dependent on devising strategies to anticipate future requirements, establishing a network of regional contacts and recruiting resources and devising and utilizing timely and effective means of attracting potential job candidates.

Main duties and responsibilities include the following:

  1. Talent Acquisition: Source, identify, and engage top-tier talent for various positions within the construction business.
  2. Job Postings and Advertising: Create compelling job descriptions, post openings on relevant job boards, and develop advertising strategies to attract qualified candidates.
  3. Candidate Screening: Conduct initial resume reviews, phone screens, and interviews to assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, provide regular updates on recruitment progress, and ensure alignment between hiring goals and business objectives.
  5. Interview Coordination: Schedule and coordinate interviews, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience throughout the process.
  6. Candidate Assessment: Conduct in-depth interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' technical skills, experience, and suitability for the organization.
  7. Offer Management: Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to develop competitive and compelling job offers, negotiating terms as necessary.
  8. Candidate Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential candidates, keeping them informed about the organization and opportunities.
  9. Networking: Actively engage in industry events, job fairs, and other networking activities to build a strong pipeline of potential candidates.

  11. 6+ years of Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  12. Proven work experience with in-house corporate recruitment experience
  13. Construction recruitment experience essential (non-negotiable)
