Our client, an established London-based architectural studio, are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Practice Manager to join their stimulating and collaborative mid-sized studio. They pride themselves on urban projects ranging across the residential, cultural and education sectors.

Working closely with Senior Management, you will have a pivotal role in making strategic decisions for the success of the business and hold responsibility for the day to day running of the studio, ensuring outstanding standards. This varied role requires a very high level of organisation, administration, and previous Practice Management experience.

The studio work out of a lovely, well-lit, open plan space and offer great benefits such as hybrid working, social events, early Friday finishes at the end of each month and more

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Senior Management Team on strategic goals and policy compliance (such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001)Oversee HR functions, ensuring staff welfare and studio culture, consulting external HR advisors when neededManage resource allocation on projects with the senior team for optimal performanceCoordinate holiday schedules and provide necessary coverage for smooth operationsLead annual performance and salary reviewsGuide recruitment, including job descriptions, offers, and contractsOrganise social and learning events for a positive studio environmentAssist with project management using Rapport 3Manage company insurance and supervise R&D processesCollaborate with Finance Manager on daily finances and budgetingHandle office health and safety policies and proceduresOversee IT strategy and work with consultants for GDPR complianceMaintain business continuity plansCoordinate annual client feedbackKey Skills:Previous relevant experience in architecture or design fieldsProficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Adobe and Rapport 3 is a plusStrong writing and verbal communication abilitiesKeen attention to detail and exceptional organisational skillsSkilled in juggling multiple tasks and setting priorities effectivelyUnderstanding of bookkeeping, employment laws, and health and safety is advantageousPositive and collaborative approach to team leadership and studio cultureMaintains poise and professionalism in all circumstancesCommitted to upholding discretion and integrityTo apply for this position please click on the apply button to attach your CV (and portfolio for design positions).
