Holborn, Greater London, United Kingdom Tes Schools Recruitment Full time

Tes is supporting the appointment of a Maths Teacher to join a Academy based in Middlesbrough.

Full Time or Part Time (0.8) considered

They are a free school in the centre of Middlesbrough and they do things differently Do you? Would you like to be part of an innovative free school. An organisation that will nurture your talents and provide high quality ongoing professional development.

The Academy is an 11-16 provision which opened in September 2020 as part of the Free Schools Programme. The academy provides an exceptional provision for young people in their local community, ensuring Students first: raising standards and transforming the lives of children, in the heart of Middlesbrough. Riverside is a special place to work, as there is genuine care for each member of their family. The Riverside community is proud of who they are and what they stand for. They nurture talents and develop skills, supporting one another, with kindness and compassion.

At the start of each academic year all students are inducted into the Riverside values program. This teaches them to understand how to master their emotions, develop their knowledge and wisdom, become kind and compassionate individuals, learn how to protect themselves and their ideals, develop a healthy respect for staff and students, see the importance of truth, integrity and loyalty, be courageous in situations that are difficult, be proud of who they are and be 'lionhearted' and fearless in the pursuit of their own happiness.

They are looking for a full time Teacher of Maths commencing September 2024. They are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and inspiring classroom practitioner with a real passion for Maths. They offer an exciting opportunity to enhance an already highly successful and motivated team.

There is an academic rigour within the Academy. Students are not faced with a 'glass ceiling' and are not restricted by their prior attainment or context. There is an expectation that staff challenge students and themselves to be the best they can be.

At the Academy they have high expectations because their children and staff deserve nothing less. Would you like to be part of this journey?

The Academy is currently at Russell Street, Middlesbrough. A new, state of the art, school will be built on Pioneering Way, adjacent to Middlesbrough College. In the interim, as the school grows, they will have a satellite site in Eston, opening in September 2024. It is expected that appointed staff may also be deployed to work at that site. There is not a vast distance between the two sites and it will be a 'mirror image' of everything Riverside is about.

If you genuinely love working with children, will go above and beyond for their young people and want to work as part of an inspirational and dynamic team that are proud to be creating local history, then they would love to hear from you.
