Tenancy Support Worker
Location: Leicester
Reporting to: Supported Housing Manager
Contract / Salary: Permanent (40 Hours PW), £28,000 per annum
Client Overview
Our client provides housing and support to vulnerable individuals and families across the UK. They work with local authorities and other partners to design and deliver tailored solutions to meet residents' needs.
Role Overview
The Tenancy Support Worker will join services aiding those experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantages to achieve greater independence. You will work with individuals and families facing mental health challenges, substance misuse, and a history of offending, using a strength-based and trauma-informed approach.
Tenancy Support Worker Responsibilities:
  • Build trusting relationships with residents.
  • Identify and mitigate risks for vulnerable individuals.
  • Create and achieve plans for residents' greater independence.
  • Maintain high safeguarding standards.
  • Keep accurate records of support activities.
  • Deliver individual and group sessions to develop living skills.
  • Manage resident caseloads dynamically.
  • Provide harm reduction information and advice.
  • Assist with tenancy documentation and service entry requirements.
  • Manage rent matters and educate on money management.
  • Conduct regular accommodation inspections.
Requirements
  • Experience working with individuals/families with multiple disadvantages.
  • NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care qualified or equivalent (or working towards).
  • Strong experience in accommodation-based services.
  • Ability to work in a strength-based and trauma-informed way.
  • High safeguarding standards knowledge.
  • Familiarity with therapeutic engagement best practices.
  • Proficient in ICT and digital support systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Responsibilities may change as the role develops.
  • Compliance with the organisation's policies is essential.
  • Regular attendance at staff meetings is required.
  • An Enhanced Disclosure is necessary for this position.
