The job itself

Withernsea High School is located in the pleasant, rural seaside town of Withernsea and serves the population of the town and surrounding villages.

We are seeking a suitably qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work with designated students in the school's Flexible Provision. You will work within a small and dedicated team who, through an adjusted curriculum and in a dedicated space, address the social, emotional and mental health needs of small groups of students. You will help our students to develop the confidence, skills and behaviours needed to thrive in an educational setting and beyond.

The successful candidate will be expected to work some break and lunchtime duties as required, as part of these contractual hours.

For the above post, you should be flexible, able to work independently, meet pre-determined deadlines and possess good verbal communication skills.

The successful applicants should be proficient in building positive relationships with students, together with a professional approach with teachers and other members of the progress team. A friendly, outgoing but firm personality is essential.
