A bright civil or structural engineer is being sought by this leading, privately owned international insurance loss adjuster.

This is an opportunity to apply your engineering expertise and to learn new skills that will open career prospects in the rewarding insurance sector.

Our client operates across several highly technical sectors, many of their large and complex claims require the expertise of their Engineering, Construction & Infrastructure division.

Their workload includes high speed rail, sports stadia, desalination plants, tunnelling works, toll roads, high rise buildings and power stations.


Your Role:

You will work closely with representatives of the insured and the Insurers, at stake are multimillion pound claims that need to be understood and a fair settlement agreed upon.

It is not unusual for a claim to be resolved as the result of face-to-face negotiations. This requires a high level of written and verbal communication skills.

You will undergo a period of rigorous on the job training and will be encouraged to become professionally qualified with the Chartered Institution of Loss Adjusters, support and study leave is provided.

You will be required to make occasional short overseas visits.

Profile Required:

You should have a good academic background with a 2:1 or above from a recognised university and ideally be chartered - or nearing - with the institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

If you are not yet chartered you should have completed your core objectives and be on course to take your chartered professional review or part three exam.

You will need at least six years' experience of working in the consulting engineering or contracting sectors.
