About the role:
We currently have a 3 month fixed term contract vacancy for an Accounts Assistant to manage Insite's finance processes, ensuring ways of working are accurate and robust whilst maintaining efficiency.
As Accounts Assistant you will also provide support to colleagues within the finance function on their various tasks as and when required.
- Raise supplier purchase orders where required
- Post supplier invoices to Sage and obtain relevant authorisation for payment
- Produce periodic payment runs and enter payments on the banking system, ensuring remittance advices are sent to suppliers in a timely manner
- Supplier account reconciliations
- Complete supplier account forms and set up new supplier accounts on Sage
- Requesting proof of delivery from suppliers
- Produce offset reports and client account reconciliations and provide to clients
- Review of finance queries and process refund requests
- Client funds reconciliations
- Client fund banking
- Direct Debit reconciliations
- Raise and send sales invoices where required
- Post costs and revenue accruals where necessary
- Bookkeeping and accounting for ESCo Manager schemes
- Calculation of deferred revenue and posting in Sage
- Provide cover for colleagues where required
- Stock ordering
About you:
We're looking for someone with prior experience in managing and reconciling stock
Intermediate skill level in Excel, capable of V Lookups
Proficient in the use of MS Word, Outlook and Sage 200
Experience within a similar Accounts Assistant position
Experience of collaboration, showing a willingness to cover the work of colleagues where required
Availability to start in August 2024

Based at Insite Energy, Stuart House, St John's Street, Peterborough PE1 5DD
This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
