Deputy Headteacher – Quality of Education
The Governors of Pershore High School wish to appoint a strong and confident leader to the position of Deputy Headteacher – Quality of Education. The Deputy Headteacher will have responsibility for ensuring the school delivers the highest quality of education. Demonstrating a passion for school improvement, the post holder will foster a culture of high standards, excellent achievement, progress, and positive outcomes for all, regardless of their starting points or abilities. Responsible for the impact of the curriculum, the post holder will oversee the school's data and assessment systems. Through accurate and perceptive data analysis, the Deputy Headteacher will contribute to the School Development Plan, resulting in measurable impacts on student outcomes. The post holder will be responsible for reporting student achievement and progress to the Leadership Team, Governors and Trustees
We currently have 1148 students on roll in Years 7-13 of which 188 are on the SEND Register, 32 of whom have EHCPs. This includes 14 students who are part of our Mainstream Autism Base (MAB). In addition, 16% of students are in receipt of the Pupil Premium Grant. Our school is steadily growing, and student numbers are set to rise further in the next few years. We will soon embark on a £22 million rebuild and expansion project. Our supportive and dedicated Leadership Team currently consists of the Executive Headteacher, Head of School, Deputy Headteacher – Teaching and Learning, Assistant Headteacher – Personal Development, Assistant Headteacher – Systems and Organisation, Assistant Headteacher – Behaviour and Attitudes and an extended leadership team post: Head of Maths/RSL Core Subject. The successful applicant will have line management responsibility for some Heads of Faculty and Department.
