This role is a leading strategic role providing direction across several key strategic areas within the ScottishPower Digital Transformation Organisation.

The Digital Planning, Culture and Practices Director will have responsibilities across ScottishPower to lead the coordination of Strategic and Annual Planning exercises, ensuring the investment in Digital Technologies is coordinated, prioritised and driven based on value.

Additionally, this role will lead the cultural transformation across ScottishPower playing a leading role in the adoption of new cultural practices and ways of working such as Agile, as well as leading the governance and coordination of ScottishPower's adoption of new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence.

This role will play a critical role in ensuring all of the above is coordinated across all of ScottishPower's Business areas, and be the single point of coordination in to the Global Digital Transformation Teams.

You'll have oversight responsibility for a TOTEX budget of c£250 million including CAPEX and OPEX budgets, and you'll leads a multidisciplinary team of 5 internal and up to 10 external resources with responsibility for the effective change management to enable continually improving high performance and effective behaviours.

What you'll be doing

Within this role, you'll define, implement, and coordinate the UK digital planning strategy for all systems and applications in all business areas (Commercial, Networks, Generation, Renewables and Corporate areas) with the directors of the areas and the UK Digital Transformation Team.

Key initiatives will include the Implementation of the necessary mechanisms for the prioritization of digital activities in business, as well as the methodologies for valuing them, so that those solutions that provide value and efficiency are developed and are prioritized to generate benefits and savings, guaranteeing in all cases the prioritization of regulatory and security issues.

You'll define, implement and monitor the Digital Plans of the different businesses, identifying new opportunities for digitalization in business processes. Establishing the necessary actions to bring and promote Digital Culture to all business areas, with a direct impact on the efficiency of processes and the user experience in the day-to-day life of all the group's employees.

A key part of this role will be to lead the creation and direction of cross-functional groups for the best digital practices between Businesses. This will involve consolidation and monitoring of global IT and OT, Systems and Business budgets in a single repository, leading the integration of the UK's Digital Strategy into the wider Iberdrola Digital Strategy, working in close cooperation with the Global Digital Planning and Global Digital Culture & Practices leaders.

Other initiatives include, leading the transformation of ScottishPower into a Data Driven company, that is, one that uses data as the backbone of all its work and decision-making processes, turning information into the main element of value. This includes;

Ensuring he availability of information: people or systems in the organization have all the information they need, there is no additional information that would allow them to transform their processes and that they do not have access to today. Identification of organizational information silos (another team has data that I would need but don't have easy access to it) or systems (databases or applications that don't communicate and should) Unavailable and necessary information, ideation of new ways of obtaining (IoT, etc.) Robustness and quality of information: Governed data, with validation rules, alerts, etc. Information accessibility: it is easy for users to access the information they need for their processes, or on the contrary, there are technological barriers (complicated database queries vs. Business Intelligence tools). What you'll bring Extensive experience of operating in a senior management role with knowledge of Business transformation and delivery of business strategy through financial and operational goals Highly developed communication and collaboration skills working with various stakeholders both globally and locally and internal and external to SPW Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence organisation where there may be conflicting priorities Proven experience in finance, programme and project management, vendor management and practise management advantageous Experience in new technologies to enable the effectiveness of the team and minimise overheads in department operations Experience in coaching and mentoring staff
