Job Purpose

To maintain the company standard of customer service by ensuring in full and on time deliveries to customer base. To build on current customer relations and promote the business at all times. To comply with all branch and H&S procedures.

Qualifications required

· Full/Clean Driving License

· HGV (Class 2) minimum

· Fork Lift License desirable

· Drivers CPC desirable

· Educated to GCSE standard

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

· Minimum 12 months driving experience

· Working knowledge of Working Time Directive Law

· Working knowledge of Transport Law including Taco graph

· Excellent communication skills

· Customer Focused

· Good numeracy and literacy skills

· Experience of strapping loads

Key Results Areas

· Carry out daily vehicle/forklift checks prior to use and report any defects to line Manager

· Check load for safety and advise of any potential issues

· Strap load using correct instructions and guidelines provided by company and training

· Deliver product to customer base as per run sheet taking into account any timed drops

· Ensure customer service is maintained to the company standard

· Ensure All goods paperwork is signed for in pen and eligible by the customer. Any discrepancies are clearly marked and reported back

· Keep in constant communication of any issues or delays which could affect service levels

· Ensuring all transport related documentation is compliant with current legislation ie WTD/Taco Graph

· Report any damage or discrepancies to the Operations Manager

· Ensure any request is completed as per the despatch notes

· Complete daily log sheet and return to Line Manager

· Check goods received for damage or discrepancies and report to line manager

· Housekeeping to be to company standard at all times

· Compliance with all best practise and health & safety instructions

· Assist with warehouse duties as required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,600.00 per year
