Operations & Logistics Associate Director

PharmaReview is a growing specialist agency of ~100 people, that provides medical and scientific copy review services to pharmaceutical companies. Our medical experts review and approve print and digital materials for patients, caregivers and HCPs that are distributed around the world. As Associate Director of Operations, you'll oversee the end-to-end medical copy review service chain from an operational/logistics perspective ensuring optimal utilization of resources. This role offers a significant opportunity to lead and shape our operations, ensuring operational excellence. Reporting to the CEO the position is part of the senior leadership team, who you will work with closely. Managing budgets, you will keep a careful eye on team capacity, service quality from SLA perspective, resource costs and utilization rates. You'll ensure that each account team is adequately resourced and capacity support is provided by other teams when required. Liaising with talent acquisition, training, and our quality and compliance team you'll oversee the allocation of the right resources, at the right time and right place to ensure that business can scale in line with new business wins. You'll join at an exciting time as we restructure to support commercial growth and integrate into IQVIA. With an eye for scouting out inefficiencies and a solution-focused attitude, you'll be constantly looking for ways to improve operations and best support our customers.

Our hybrid work model has a mandatory office day at our Paddington – London offices; this provides an opportunity to meet colleagues face to face as well as other IQVIA employees. PharmaReview are an IQVIA owned company, as such we retain an inclusive agency feel but benefit from being part of a large company.
Essential Skills:

  1. Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations. Ensure operational efficiency, quality service delivery, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  2. Strategic Planning and Execution: Lead strategic initiatives for business growth and operational improvements. Collaborate with the management team to set and implement short-term and long-term goals.
  3. Team Management and Development: Mentor and inspire our account teams. Work with the Medical Director and Head of Training to promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  4. Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation. Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to maximize profitability and sustainability.
  5. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure the highest standards of service are maintained. With the Medical Director, oversee compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  6. Support New Business Development: Identify resource requirements and timeframes to onboard new business growth.
  7. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within PharmaReview and the wider IQVIA organization.

    Our ideal Candidate Will Have:
  8. Degree (BA, BSc), Masters in business management preferable.
Minimum of 5 years operational experience. (Agency operational experience desirable)
Proven track record in operational leadership and team management.
Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent people skills.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to drive innovation and change.
Solution focused.
