Are you newly qualified or looking for a career change? Does the prospect of developing and learning in a variety of clinical specialties appeal to you?

We are looking a motivated individual who is passionate about improving care and share our health board values to join our team.

Bronglais General Hospital is a busy district general hospital. The department provides a range of medical and surgical specialities.

You will be joining a team of experienced pharmacists and technicians and will be supported within a nurturing working environment to develop you career and undertake the prescribing qualification. Prescribers currently practice in Frailty, Cardiology and Infection Control. You will be part of the planned digital transformation of medicines management systems and will be actively encouraged to engage with these processes.

You will be expected to undertake the role of responsible pharmacist and will be expected to undertake Emergency Duty Commitment (on-call), work weekends and Bank holidays as part of a rota.

Main duties of the job

  • You will undertake a rotational clinical pharmacist role working closely with pharmacy colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team.

The post includes formal development opportunities from either the structured HEIW Post-registration Foundation Training Programme or a distance learning clinical diploma. Both these qualifications provide the foundation for excellent career development and a platform for professional and personal development. To meet the criteria for the HEIW foundation place you must be qualifying in July 2024 or January 2025 or have registered with the GPHC after July 2023.
