Our client are a leading Builders Merchant providing building supplies to a mixture of house builders, contractors, housing associations, and contractors.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Counterbalance ForkLift operator to join their business within a Yard Operative capacity.

The role will involve Loading the company HGV vehicles in preperation for deliveries to be made. Additionally, you will need to unload goods coming into the branch and put the products out to the correct location on site. There will also be an element of customer service as you will need to help customers who come onto the yard looking for products or perhaps requiring advice. The customers may also need assistance loading their vehicles with products they have purchased from the trade counter.

It is a busy, fast paced and varied role and the hours are 7:30am-5pm Monday to Friday and alternative Saturday mornings 8am-12pm. This is a 44.5 hour contract weekly.

Due to the nature of the role, strong experience using a counterbalance forklift is essential. It is also beneficial to have a driving licence due to the situation of the branch and poor public transport links.

Our client are offering the following:

  • Basic salary of between c 27k-c 30k depending on experience (top end reserved for candidates with specific industry experience)
