Responsibilities:

This role is suitable for a retail interior designer with opportunities to be involved in both global store design and project management. Projects at Kurt Geiger are varied and cover UK, global stores and a range of external brands such as Carvela, Shoeaholics, Harrods and Selfridges luxury shoe floors.

  • Concept store design – including space planning to create new store concepts globally in line with brand identity
  • Designing across entirety of store, including structural, furnishings and fittings
  • Collaborating with senior stakeholders and external partners on design brief
  • Producing full design pack for new store, refurbishments, shop in shop and pop-up for landlord and director approvals
  • Creating 2D floor plans, internal elevations and shop front elevations
  • Ability to product design options in 3D under strict timelines for approval
  • Carrying out site visits and handovers – liaising with external contractors and greater property teams (this may include international travel)
  • Value engineer designs liaising with Project Manager on budgets
  • Strong ability to work on multiple briefs at any time and prioritise accordingly
  • Ability to present concepts to stakeholders
  • Researching retail store design trends
  • Sample sourcing across brands and projects

Requirements

  • Experienced and a strong interest in retail design
  • Proficiency in Autocad and Adobe creative suite
  • Strong ability in 3D visualisation in Sketch up
  • Knowledge of materials/finishes
  • Experience in technical detailing
  • Awareness of shop fit costs and inventive approach to achieving cost effective solutions.
  • Driven, passionate, highly organised, articulate, resourceful and flexible
  • Confident working in fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills internally and externally
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
