There will be up to 20 live teaching hours and up to 5 hours of asynchronous interaction and VLE development.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Ensure to implement the modules to the academic calendar and in module deadlines and requirements to ensure the best possible student outcomes and student experience.
- Produce a set of agreed documentation for each course and module including course outlines, module handbooks, schemes of work and teaching material. Review documentation regularly for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Ensure that all assessment for agreed modules in subject area are prepared in a timely fashion to agreed deadlines and are appropriate, fair, and secure.
- Support the Head of Subject to ensure all students on agreed modules receive effective assessment feedback.
- Support Head of Subject in liaising with External Examiners for subject area, providing information to External Examiner as required and responding to recommendations.
- Implement quality assurance procedures at module and teaching session level and contribute to the annual monitoring and review of courses.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' attendance, engagement and performance.
ABOUT YOU
- A Bachelor's degree in relevant subject (Essential).
- A Master's qualification (Desirable).
- Teaching qualification (Desirable).
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Experience of teaching in Hospitality and Tourism in UK higher, or further education (Essential).
- Assessment marking experience at a minimum of level 4 (Essential).
- Competence in teaching and administrative IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, etc.) (Essential).
- Ability of working within a Virtual Learning Environment (Essential).
