Your new companyYou will be working for a manufacturing business who specialise in food production. With a large site based in Newport and ability to get to work on exciting projects in the role, this could be a great opportunity for you.
Your new roleWithin this role you will be expected to deliver preventative maintenance (ppm) activities alongside reactive breakdowns of the machinery. You will deliver on both Mechanical and Electrical tasks. You will also need to perform repairs of mechanical systems such as pumps, valves, motors, hydraulics and pneumatics.
What you'll need to succeedTo succeed you will need to have both electrical and mechanical maintenance skills, where a basic understanding of using PLC systems and fault-finding is essential. Strong candidates will have either HND, HNC OR OND within an electrical/mechanical or similar related maintenance field. Strong candidates will also be those who have experience in the food, beverage or FMCG sector, although this is not essential.
