Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage all on-site activities, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of groundworks and infrastructure projects.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and supervise site teams, including subcontractors and laborers, to achieve project goals and maintain high levels of performance.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for all site personnel.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and inspect work to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Resource Management: Manage site resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any on-site issues or challenges promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on project status, including progress, costs, and any deviations from the plan.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager in groundworks and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Education:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications and training in health and safety, project management, and site management.
