Strategic Improvement Lead
Are you passionate about delivering excellent services to children and young people and want to be part of an organisation that is committed to making improvements to the way it supports children and families?
This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining East Riding of Yorkshire Council as we continue to improve and innovate our commissioning services and relationships with key partners to achieve efficiencies and best value, whilst maintaining high standards of services for our children and young people.
Committed to being ambitious for children, their families, and carers we continue to focus on protecting children and keeping them safe, whilst developing our approach to strategic commissioning to ensure that we provide children and families with the support they need at the right time using our Stronger Together practice model which emphasises restorative, relational practice.
We have committed, permanent and skilled commissioning teams in both Adults and Childrens areas and work collaboratively with health commissioners and providers but we are seeking to strengthen and develop this further and work more closely with the market to enable it to provide what is needed across the local area.
You will have the drive, ambition and innovation skills to strengthen integrated commissioning across health, education and social care services and will demonstrate the savings and efficiencies made as a direct result of your leadership and influence on reshaping the market.
We are looking for an individual who has integrated commissioning experience and skills at a senior strategic level and can provide inspirational, inclusive, and engaging leadership in the development and operational delivery of our commissioning offer both internally and across partners, whilst strengthening existing relationships.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including up to 30 days annual leave, flexible working, continuing professional development and a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme.
Being visible and present is vital to embed positive relationships from the outset. This is complemented by our hybrid working model, to ensure that everyone works in line with service needs to deliver the best possible outcomes for children and families.
About you
You will be a dynamic, forward thinking strategic senior manager, with a key understanding and extensive experience in leading the fast pace working environment of Integrated Commissioning.
A confident, compassionate, and collaborative leader you will drive forward good practice alongside continued improvement and transformation to create a future proof offer that is aligned to the diverse needs and context of East Riding.
If you have what it takes to deliver a demanding, change-driven, high-profile role where you have the scope to help shape the future for children, we would love to hear from you.
Applicants must be able to drive, have a driving licence and be a car owner, however for disabled applicants, reasonable adjustments will be made where required.
This post is covered by the Fluency Duty, as outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers.
