NRL are currently recruiting a Mechanical Supervisor for a construction M&E project based in North Yorkshire to work for a leadng tier 1 contractor.

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 18 month plus
Required Experience: Relevant mechanical qualification, SSSTS or SMSTS & First Aid at work

Working Hours:
43 hours per week

To be successful in this role you will be qualified as a Mechanical Supervisor in a project engineering role with a building services contractor. Be able to work under guidance of a Project Manager and have responsibility for successful completion of tasks.

Main job duties but not limited to:
  • Support the Project Manager/Engineers in the pre-construction phase by obtaining quotes from sub-contractors for plant and materials. Reviewing and appraising to ensure they comply with the specification. Identifying re-engineering solutions.
  • Ensure areas of responsibility allocated to you by the Project Manager are delivered on time, within budget to agreed standards.
  • Identify risks and ensure mitigation measures are put in place.
  • Effectively manage sub-contractors for certain packages on site, Heating, Cooling, Infrastructure, Ventilation, Duct Work, Fire, Sprinkler and Dry Riser.
  • Ensure everyone reporting to yourself has clear roles and responsibilities
  • Support Project Manager/ Site Engineers with project budget and costs are managed effectively
