Casual Exam Invigilators/Scribes

Casual Hours / Term Time only

Grade 2 - £11.79 per hour

Cardinal Griffin Catholic College is seeking to increase the team of casual exam invigilators to cover the exam periods throughout the academic year. The post is on a casual basis invigilating A levels, GCSE exams and helping to support students through the provision, supervision and monitoring of internal and external exams.

We are now part of the newly expanded Painsley Catholic Academy, the largest multi-academy in the Archdiocese of Birmingham, with a strong Catholic ethos that puts 'love' at the heart of its community. The school provides a safe haven for all can flourish.

About the role:

An ideal candidate will be flexible, have effective communication skills and be confident in the presence of pupils. Working hours will vary but will be agreed ahead of the exam period, which fall during term time. You will work as part of a team, ensuring that our pupils comply with the necessary exam procedures and regulations.

Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but it not essential.

Candidates should have:


• You will have a good standard of education, including literacy and numeracy.


• Previous experience of Exam invigilation is not essential, as full training will be provided.


• Have excellent communication skills


• The ability to relate with a wide range of personalities


• Be willing to undertake direction and guidance


• Be able to work as part of a team
