Accounts Payable Clerk

Accounts Payable Clerk required in Newcastle Emlyn.Starting salary up to £25,000 per annum pending experience and current earnings.Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm with a 30 minute lunch break. Our client, a family run multi-site car dealer group established across South West Wales, are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their head office in Newcastle Emlyn.

Reporting to the Accountant and work as part of a friendly accounts team, your duties will include:
Process a high volume of invoices accurately and timelyReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepanciesPrepare and process electronic transfers and paymentsAssist with month-end closing proceduresMaintain accurate records of accounts payable transactionsCommunicate with vendors regarding payment inquiriesIn order to be eligible you will ideally live within an easily commutable distance of Newcastle Emlyn and will need to hold recent or current experience working within a similar Accounts Payable Clerk. You will need to be IT literate and have a methodical and organised approach as well as being a team. Experience working in the motor industry or with the SAGE 50 accounting software system would be advantageous but is non-essential. A UK driving licence with minimal points is also required as this position may occasionally require you to travel between sites within our client's group.
