Fitness Class Instructor in Monmouth

The Purpose of this Role:
To deliver a consistent service level agreement through our leisure centre and fitness suite in accordance with our objectives and business plan.
We are encouraging individuals to apply who are passionate about the leisure/sport and fitness industry and can demonstrate a high quality of service delivery, excellent customer care and most importantly energy, enthusiasm and commitment.
Expectation and Outcomes of this Role:
Working closely with the Leisure Management Team, you will be required to, target individuals who would benefit from, encouragement, support and signpost service users to the most appropriate form of physical activity and membership offer.
You will review class delivery, give feedback to customers and develop new ideas to ensure customers stay motivated and class participation is high. The leisure centre and fitness offer is about encouraging people to enjoy a more active lifestyle, whilst maximising the potential to deliver the business plan.
Your responsibilities are to:
- To deliver a range of high quality physical activity opportunities that are progressive and reflective of the needs of the local community.
- To implement strict data and management protocols, including confidentiality.
- To fulfil all administration processing regarding fitness class delivery and membership collection.
- To sign post members to appropriate exit routes; membership options and activities to ensure class participation and membership is maintained.
- To support all other centre staff, to promote fitness class opportunities and ensure centre staff are aware of their role in fitness class preparation.
- To attend team meetings and update training in accordance with the Register of Exercise Professional status.
- To contribute to the wellbeing of all centre users by practising a high standard of customer care, including offering advice about all aspects of fitness provision and to deal with customer enquiries and complaints.
- To provide cover for other fitness class instructors where necessary.
- To assist in planning new class content and classes, and to deliver fitness instruction to both children and adults through group classes and specialist populations.
- To complete the maintenance and cleaning programme and to assist in the maintenance of the facility and equipment to the highest standards, where necessary reporting any faults in line with the servicing contract.
- To ensure appropriate and continuous observance of Health & Safety requirements is attained through the quality of induction, monitoring and review, whilst taking into consideration the centres Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plans.
- Have a commitment to supporting individuals that volunteer for our services.
