Location: University Park
Salary:
£33,966 to £45,585 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
Are you interested in supporting our researchers with their open access and research data management activities? We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join a team which supports research staff and students as they plan, undertake, publish, and share their research.??
You will be part of a friendly and welcoming Library Research Support Team which delivers services across the research lifecycle. We promote best practice in open research, facilitate publication and re-use of research outputs, and support discovery of, access to, and management of research literature and data. You will work closely with colleagues across UoN Libraries teams and in partnership with a variety of colleagues from across Professional Services.
You will have a good understanding of the information needs of researchers and experience of working with them to promote and support open access to their publications or data. You will answer enquiries from researchers on all these topics and contribute to our inclusive training and engagement programme, supported by colleagues as you build knowledge and expertise.
We know that having colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds is key to a supportive workplace and improved services. We are particularly keen to receive applications from those who are currently underrepresented in Libraries in the UK, such as racially minoritised people.
We offer this position as fixed term until 31st July 2025, working full time, 36.25 hours per week. Your base will be the George Green Library on University Park, but you may work across our different campuses. Job share arrangements may be considered. We currently have a hybrid working arrangement where you will be expected to spend a minimum of two days on campus.
Requests for secondment from internal candidates will be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager, and the manager of your substantive post if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
We are committed to providing a competitive employment package that supports your well-being and helps you to reach your full potential. You will have access to benefits, including leading fitness and health facilities, staff discounts and travel schemes, along with a generous holiday allowance and attractive pension scheme.
We want to see the best possible version of you in your application. To understand our recruitment process (including some handy tips and advice), please follow this link to our candidate guidance page.
