Job Role: Maintenance Technician

Salary: up to £36,000 depending on experience.

Shifts:
Monday - Thursday, 07:00 - 16:00
Friday 07:00 - 12:00

Pertemps are currently working with a power management company who provide energy efficient products and services globally. They are now looking to recruit their next Maintenance Technician for their production facility based in Cwmbran.

Your responsibilities will include.
  • Vendor Management and Maintenance - Coordinate with vendors for equipment repairs and preventive maintenance. Obtain quotes and establish contracts for site upgrade projects.
  • Supply and Equipment - Order necessary supplies, parts, and equipment for maintenance and operational purposes.
  • Installation and Maintenance - Install and set up machinery and equipment as required. Conduct monthly preventive maintenance on machinery and facility equipment. Troubleshoot and repair equipment when necessary.
  • Record Keeping and Compliance - Maintain records of maintenance activities for ISO compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities for improvements in production equipment and monitor project development.
  • Safety and Leadership - Participate in the Safety meetings. Lead projects aimed at driving effective improvements.
  • Critical Component Monitoring - Monitor critical components, including machine guarding compliance, electrical safe work practices, confined space entry procedures, and lockout/tagout processes.
  • Facility Maintenance and Safety - Execute facility-related maintenance tasks. Manage site visitors and suppliers, ensuring adherence to site safety policies.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or facility maintenance or in EHS area
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Experience in Environmental, Health, or Safety in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
