Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Electrician Teams install, repair and maintain wiring, electric fixtures and control equipment in the facilities they support. They complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Install, test, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures ensuring that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and etc.
  • To work safely at all times, conduct risk assessments where required and implement actions.
  • To work with the team to maintain / improve the TEOA within the department and across the site.
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Aid the facilities manager to identify opportunities to improve the TPM on critical equipment with the aim of reducing machine breakdowns.
  • Identify, organise and control contractors needed to complete work on site.
  • Conduct quality assurance measures and inspections
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations
  • Excellent understanding of safety rules in an industrial setting
  • Strong mechanical, analytical, and solution driven skills
  • Excellent communication ability
  • Ability to schedule and balance priorities; and possess a strong adherence to deadlines
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
