Job Description

The Strategy and Architecture lead will play a key role in ensuring Fastmarkets customer-facing technology stays ahead in a cloud-first environment and remains innovative and operationally resilient. The role will involve facilitating architectural discussions and decisions and ensuring technical debt is proactively managed. A strong understanding of architecture patterns in modern cloud environments is essential as is a mindset for optimizing performance, resilience, security, scalability, with equal focus on innovation in data and AI, to maximise customer value through Technology.

Principal Accountabilities

Development and ownership of technical roadmaps to maintain a cutting-edge technology stackProactively manage technical debt to support sustainable delivery and maintain cyber-securityEstablish strong governance for architectural decisions for the Fastmarkets PlatformHorizon scanning to ensure Fastmarkets takes advantage of the latest Technology innovationsDeepen relationships with external vendors e.g. Microsoft to ensure early adoption

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and have a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.

Strong knowledge of architectural frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) with a with a forward view on how these can be utilized in an agile, commercially effective manner in a cloud-first environmentStrong knowledge of Azure architecture and distributed technology design patterns in generalAbility to leverage internal engineering expertise as well as external thought leadership to support optimal architecture decisions, both internally and in an M&A integration contextPassion for innovation and building the best technology stack, controlling technical debt and preventing obsolescence is vital for this role If you're excited about the role but your experience, skills or qualifications don't perfectly align, we encourage you to apply anyway.
