Sheffield, Sheffield, United Kingdom Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust Full time

Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust are recruiting for a Grazing Co-ordinator.

This role:

Is to coordinate conservation grazing activity across a suite of sites as part of the Species Stacking the Shire Brook Valley, a partnership project led by Sheffield City Council (SCC). This project is funded by the Government's Species Survival Fund (SSF). The fund was developed by Defra and its Arm's-Length Bodies. It is being delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in partnership with Natural England and the Environment Agency.

With direction and support from the Nature Recovery Manager (south), the grazing coordinator will work closely with the species survival team at SCC based close by at Shire Brook Valley Nature Reserve. They are responsible for developing and delivering grazing schemes with external graziers and managing volunteer stewards who will 'looker' the sites and deliver small scale practical conservation tasks. They will also manage contract work to install grazing infrastructure.

This role is based at Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust, Stafford Road, Sheffield and Shire Brook Valley Nature Reserve Visitor Centre
