As a future Operational Due Diligence Analyst, you will report to our Senior Operational Due Diligence Analyst, and you will be part of AXA IM Prime.

The Operational Due Diligence Analyst will work within the existing Operational Due Diligence team. This role primarily involves performing initial and ongoing monitoring reviews of the external managers across the AXA Prime platform. AXA Prime invests and advises in private debt, hedge fund, private equity, and infrastructure funds and strategies through their external managers team.

Your role and responsibilities will include:
Operational Due Diligence - Initial (candidate manager and fund) reviewsConduct operational due diligence on candidate managers and other investment partners, including:Management company's business operating model, organisation, staffing, legal structureInvestment and control teams' experience and backgroundTrading, trade processing, trade reconciliation processes, IT systems & cybersecurity.Fund valuation processes, fund administrationInternal control, regulatory and complianceCross check information provided by managers with independent sources (prime brokers, administrators, background checks, etc.)Conduct operational due diligence on candidate funds, including:Review candidate fund legal documentation including fund legal structure and tax set-upReview of fund terms including subscription, redemption and expense termsReview candidate fund's third-party service providers - prime brokers, auditors, fund's administrator, directorsReview of the fund audited financial statement, over a 3-year period if availablePerform AML/KYC due diligence review of manager and fundWritten operational due diligence reports for presentation to the Investment CommitteeOperational Due Diligence - Monitoring activities for approved Managers on the AXA Prime platform:Distribution and review of manager annual ODD questionnaireConduct annual monitoring reviews with invested managers to ensure risk profile of the manager has not changed since the last ODD reviewReview of the fund's most recent audited financial statementMedia monitoring, escalating any negative news stories pertaining to the manager or fund to the Head of ODD and Front Office TeamWritten updated operational due diligence reports for presentation to the Investment Committee Other Operational Due Diligence

Assess and advise on corporate actions of the underlying AXA fundsAssist with ad-hoc projects as requiredUpdate and maintain the ODD databaseMaintain contacts with professionals and service providers in the alternative investment industry on legal and due diligence matters

Your qualifications and experience:
University graduate with a finance related or legal degreeIn-depth experience in operational due diligence within a fund of hedge fund platform or at a hedge fund, a private equity platform or fund, or other applicable fund management experience
Your knowledge and skills:
Understanding of investment managers' legal and operational setupUnderstanding of fund legal and tax structures in various regulatory jurisdictionsAccountancy and taxation knowledgeCandidate must be efficient, proactive, well organised and have high attention to detailAbility to identify operational deficiencies and knowledge of operational best practices Excellent communication and report writing skillsCandidate must have a solution driven approachCapacity to work well in a small team
