A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A NIGHT RECEPTIONIST AT Hampton by Hilton, Gatwick Airport

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Night Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following.

Greeting guests, check in and checking out guests, allocation of bedrooms and assisting them with any general enquiries
Serving food and beverage from the 24/7 menu to any late arrivals and residents
Preparing the Breakfast Buffet for the early opening of the Restaurant which opens at 4am for our residents
Carrying out security patrols and ensuring teh safety and comfort of our guests during their stay
Completing the Reception shift and balancing the day's business and running the Night Audit process
Assisting guests with their forward travel plans and making reservations as required

To succeed in the role of Night Team Member/Receptionist, you will need the following qualities and skills.

You will need to be well presented, approachable and helpful, along with a good command of the English language
Be able to work well on your own using your own initiative and with others as you are part of a team working on shifts
Follow the checklist protocols and be confident in computer skills and telephone answering
Be a good team player and all round problem solver to help our guests
Have previous experience in guest facing roles and be able to work well in a calm and busy airport enviornment
have a good stanadrd of numeracy and be able to complete work to timelines as the audit process is an essential part of our daily operation
