Interim Head of Finance

SF Recruitment are supporting a Wolverhampton based charity who require an experienced Head of Finance to join on a fixed term contract (6 months).

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of overseeing multiple or large ledgers experience, ideally be qualified and have previous experience of managing a large finance team.


Further duties of the role are below:

  • Manage the Finance Team to deliver high quality and timely management information
  • Work with auditors, Finance Team and Management to deliver a successful 2024 audit
  • Maintain and improve financial controls
  • Develop recommendations for the future structure of the Finance Team
  • Prepare papers for, and attend Finance Committee and Board and support Trustees with information they require
  • Support the CEO with financial evaluation and insights for decision making
  • Work with other managers to ensure that systems and controls work effectively and efficiently across the organisation
  • Day to day responsibilities, e.g. review payroll and payment runs, preparation of management information, supporting grant applications, etc.
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality and integrity at all times.
  • To complete other duties as reasonably can be required which are suitable to the role.
