About the Role:
Our Clients are a prominent road maintenance company seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Plant Fitter to join their team in the Birmingham B9 area. This role involves working on a fleet of mobile plant equipment, ensuring that all machinery is maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of heavy plant machinery, including excavators, rollers, and loaders.
- Respond to breakdowns and perform on-site repairs to minimize downtime.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure the reliability and safety of all equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Plant Fitter, preferably within the road maintenance or construction sectors.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrics, and diesel engines.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload efficiently.
- Full UK driving license.
- Flexibility to work overtime as required.
