About Eden Girls' School, Slough

Eden Girls' School, Slough is a Muslim faith-based secondary school for 11 to 18 year old girls, which welcomes pupils from all faiths and none. We opened in 2015 and, like all Star schools, we have a leadership specialism. We are extremely proud to be one of the highest performing schools in the country, with a Progress 8 score of +1.19 for our GCSE results. We were graded as 'Outstanding' in all areas by Ofsted during our first inspection in May 2018.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for a highly organised individual to help create, maintain and manage a safe learning environment for our young people. You will have a keen eye for detail to ensure our facilities are clean, safe and well maintained.

The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and technical skills. You will have the ability to effectively problem solve and provide excellent customer service to our community.

You will have:

Possess a City and Guilds 706/1 and 2 or NVQ catering equivalent (Level 1 and 2).Experience of preparing, cooking and serving food for large numbers, including the ability to scale recipes up and down to suit varying numbers.Experience of ordering commodities, completing food costings, stock control, daily cash reconciliation and general kitchen administration duties.The ability to work unsupervised to produce nutritious, economical, well-presented meals of good quality.The ability to use general catering equipment safely and correctly.About Star Academies
