Our studio is situated in a river-front building in the heart of the Historic Dockyard in Chatham, Kent, UK. We are growing fast, developing our games using cutting-edge technology and delivering these on multiple platforms: PC, PlayStation 4 and 5 and Xbox One and Series S/X

About you

We are actively seeking a skilled Audio Programmer to join our team, working on our exciting upcoming projects. This position would be on a one-year fixed term contract basis with the option to extend.

Job requirements

  • Design and implement audio features and tools for our upcoming titles
  • Work in-engine writing clean C++, ensuring that all audio code is to a high standard and is well optimized for PC and Console hardware
  • Work with the audio team to come up with the best tech solutions based on the project and wider studio needs
  • Contribute to decisions regarding overall software architecture
  • Work collaboratively within a team of software engineers, conducting thorough code and architecture reviews, offering constructive feedback and support.
  • Effectively prioritizing workload to meet project tasks and sprint goals
Requirements
  • Previous experience with audio programming in C++ on PC and Console platforms
  • Knowledge of native Unreal Engine 5 audio features
  • Knowledge of multiplayer audio
  • Proficient with Perforce, our source control solution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Good software engineering skills, knowledge of architectural patterns and ability to program in a clean and efficient manner, evolving your style and practices where required.
  • A passion to deliver quality games and software
  • Willingness to step outside your comfort zone, actively seeking opportunities to learn and grow
Nice to have
  • An understanding of acoustics
  • Experience in creating procedural audio systems
  • Experience with simulations
  • Experience working on open world games
  • Experience with various audio codecs across multiple platforms
