Senior Engineer – DevOps Automation

UK, France

We are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team responsible for our DevOps and Cloud automation ecosystem. As a member of the team, your role will be pivotal in the design , maintenance , and support our DevOps Automation ecosystem platform, which plays a crucial role in the development, deployment, and operations of our AXA XL applications. This role will be focused on hands on delivery and supporting the overall productivity of the team.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

Implement and document change in accordance with an approved SDLC process and development standardsWrite high quality, well-designed, testable code Produce specifications and determine operational feasibilityIntegrate software components into a fully functional software systemDevelop software verification plans and quality assurance proceduresDocument and maintain software functionalityProvide technical SME assistance for a given applicationTechnically leads other developers, including assignment of workAssists to maintain development standards for design, coding, etc.Perform deliverable reviews and manage measurement of deliverable qualityMay perform design activities in collaboration with the Technical ArchitectAssists in removing impediments to progressSupport resolution of defects during application testing phasesEstimate work requests at various levels of confidenceMay serve as a member of a Major Incident Team

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Proven development skills in one or more programming languages with specific skills within the Java domain.Knowledge of current Java frameworks, SDKs, APIs and libraries.Knowledge of Azure or other cloud services and ability to implement solutions utilizing them.Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design.Building and scaling infrastructure services using Microsoft AzureExperience of using core cloud application infrastructure services including identity platforms, networking, storage, databases, containers, and serverlessSkillful in troubleshooting large-scale distributed ecosystems systemsKnowledge of SOLID software design principles and clean code principles.Application changes complete on-time, to a target level of qualityTimely and accurate completion of Software Development Lifecycle deliverables in a manner that is auditable, testable, and maintainableImplementation consistent with solution design and business specificationsEnsure for technical integrity of changes made to systemsAdherence to development governance & SDLC standardsTeam leadership abilities required, including experience leading and mentoring development professionalsMust be able to set priorities and multi-taskAdaptable to new/different strategies, programs, technologies, practices, cultures, etc. Comfortable with change, able to easily make transitions.Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, information systems, business management, or a related field preferred
