Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver

Location:

Shift :
Days - 39-hours per week

Working hours:
Monday - Thursday 8.00 am pm Friday 8.00 am pm

Pay Rate:
A£13.00 -A£14.00 per hour depending on experience
Temporary Ongoing role.

Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver is required for a manufacturer of automotive parts. They work through from design to production stage and work with many of the large OEM's.


Our client is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to join their busy team in Leamington on a temporary ongoing basis.

Candidates will require both an external Counterbalance and Bendi Truck licences.

Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking receipt and checking of incoming stock in line with company goods in processes, ensuring all are labelled appropriately and the product is correctly located.
  • Picking customer orders as per operating processes, undertaking all necessary controls, and ensuring available for dispatch
  • Dispatching orders in line with correct processes, paying particular attention to detail to ensure accurate picking and dispatch.
  • Assisting with stock takes and any regular spot stock takes as required.
  • Undertaking forklift truck duties as required, ensuring daily safety checks are conducted thoroughly and company warehouse guidelines observed.
  • Undertaking physical tasks such as manually unloading containers from overseas suppliers
  • Ensuring all stock is stored, handled, and transported securely and health and safety guidelines are completed.
  • Providing a professional, courteous, and efficient service to all delivery drivers and customers
  • Working with colleagues to ensure the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness and complies with company and legislative standards at all times.
  • Ensuring all company safety and quality processes are followed and all relevant legislation complied with, raising concerns, and reporting any incidents or suggestions to your line manager.
  • Performing any other duties that may fit into the remit of this role as and when required.

The ideal Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver:

  • Be qualified to competently operate a Counterbalance and Bendi forklift truck.
  • Hold a valid external Counterbalance and Bendi licence.
  • Possess a good standard of numeracy and literacy.
  • Have a good understanding of, and commitment to, safe working practices.
  • Have good communication skills and a customer focus.
  • Have previous warehouse experience.
  • Possess a good level of IT competence.
