WHAT TO EXPECT
The Facility & Technology Development department (F&TD) look after the design and delivery of facility components, test rigs and the infrastructure required to support physical test plans. The team also works on the development and delivery of key new facilities, technology, infrastructure and strategy for JLRs test teams, leading projects from concept through to delivery.
This role is within the Technical Maintenance and Support team and will see the associate provide both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all Engineering Laboratories process equipment. They will also help the team increase the site operational effectiveness, help improve on project delivery, maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
This role will require the successful applicant to work shifts ( Double Days ) and will attract an shift uplift.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Help ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements of a variety of electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems are undertaken.
Support the Technology Infrastructure team on project work.
Help ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/solutions when required.
Liaise with Tech Maintenance contractors/suppliers.
Offer fabrication/fitting support to the wider Facilities & Technology Development team
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Completed a fully indentured apprenticeship within a mechanical/electrical/electronic discipline.
Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
Experience of working as a mechanical engineer/technician within a test environment.
Experienced welder/fabricator.
Experience of using machine shop equipment.
General PC skills including Microsoft Office, Visio, Teams & Outlook.
Ability to resolve mechanical issues promptly.
