Description

You will be working on the operation and on-going enhancement of the RuneScape & Old School RuneScape game engine and associated systems, developing operational processes, maintaining and enhancing existing game systems and services, ensuring we continue to effectively support the live service and provide value to our players/customers.

We're in the early stages of a major product update on Old School RuneScape, so this is an exciting opportunity for a DevOps Engineer with ambition and initiative to modernise our infrastructure and operations estate to ensure a global, scalable presence for our players.

What you'll be doing:

  • Use IAC (terraform) to build and maintain infrastructure globally at scale
  • Leverage AWS best practice to build highly available and fault tolerant systems for our players
  • Support modernisation of legacy systems, migrating away from data centers to run on AWS
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and work with engineering teams to detect and prevent future issues
  • Build, automate and support development and production environments, both on-premises and cloud
What we're looking for:
  • Experience working with (and willingness to work with) large-scale legacy systems
  • Proven AWS experience, running production system
  • Experience with containerization and container orchestration
  • Some experience with scripting in bash, python or using Go for automation in the cloud
