Here at North Yorkshire County Council our Technology Department plays a vital part in improving and developing services across the whole Council for the benefit of our customers and staff. Our Team is responsible for a wide range of technologies including maintaining our estate of Servers, Data Storage, Backups, Security, Disaster recovery, Identity and Access Management.

The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Core Infrastructure & Applications Team (CIA) within Technology. We're looking for an individual who has proven experience and knowledge in providing day to day support of the technologies that the team are responsible for.

As a Senior Technical Analyst, you will be working to improve and develop the technologies that we look after, managing changes and working with other senior members of the team to deliver projects and upgrades to our underlying infrastructure.

What you will bring

Experience & Knowledge in the technology platforms we support would be essential; these include Microsoft Operating Systems, VMware, Linux, Unix & Microsoft Azure.

We realise that's a big ask and if you have experience of any of these areas you could be the person for us. What is more important is that you're willing to learn, can use your initiative to solve problems and work as part of a team. There's plenty of opportunity to develop in areas that aren't already part of your skill set.
